Speaker Chairperson: Susie Emmons

Workshop Chairpserson 2019: Susie Emmons

The speakers and workshops are for you, the member.  If you have a favorite speaker, contact Vice President  and see if she can get them for 2019 or to fill in a spot this year.
No matter how long you have been quilting, you can always learn something new.  Workshops give us the opportunity to try a new technique and not invest a lot.  You can learn new ways to do things.  If you are new to quilting it is a great opportunity to not only learn from the workshop but from your fellow quilters.    Never stop learning!  It's also a great way to have a day of fun!

Our June speaker is Maria Hall…speaking to us on “Quilting with Friends”! (www.charmingprintsquilting.com)
Maria is a quilter! Quilting is her hobby, her job and her favorite thing to do. Originally from Minnesota, Maria now lives in nearby Flower Mound, Texas. Here’s where her story gets very interesting…She attended the US Naval Academy, then served in the US Navy for 5 years. After developing her corporate-world career in (mostly) logistics for nearly 10 years…she decided to make a change…creating her quilting hobby into her livelihood!
Maria has been a quilter since 2000 and a professional long-arm quilter since 2008. She has quilted for Quilts of Val-or Foundation, Go Texan Contest Block and the US Department of Agriculture.
Maria is a member of: Mensa Intelligence Quilters Special Interest Group.
