First Quilts* -- a quilter's first quilt.

Pieced Quilts* -- bed size patchwork quilt; may be either hand or machine quilted.

Applique Quilts* -- bed size applique quilt; may be either hand or machine quilted.

Wall Quilts/Lap Quilts* -- any quilt where no side measures more than 64"; may be either hand quilted or machine quilted; also quilts made for babies.

Miniature Quilts* -- any quilt with no side measuring more than 24" and all interior blocks measuring no more than 4" (this is separate from the miniature auction).

One Person Quilts -- pieced or appliqued; may be either hand or machine quilted; must be made ENTIRELY by one person.

Hand Quilted By One Person -- regardless of origin of the quilt top, the quilt must be hand quilted ENTIRELY by one person.

Group/Friendship Quilts -- made by a group of three or more.

Juniors -- any quilt made by someone 18 or under; group or individual 
effort.

Art Quilts -- original design with any technique or combination of techniques or materials used in a non-traditional/artistic way; must be made entirely by one person.

Other Techniques -- Cathedral Window, Yo-Yo, Crazy Quilts, Rag Quilts, etc.; includes Wearables which must be made by one person, the entrant, and may not be store-bought with embellishment.

Chairman's Choice Quilts* -- Oh My Stars! -- quilts which predominately reflect a star theme.

* = Top must be made ENTIRELY by one person.

1. A color photo must accompany each entry form.

2. Entry forms must be mailed to JoAnne Sheppard, 790 Windemere Way, Keller, TX 76248, and postmarked no later than November 15, 2003.

3. No fee for members or their children. Members must be in good standing, i.e. dues paid. A non-member may participate by becoming a member (pay dues).

4. Entrants are responsible for their own insurance on all items. Your signed entry form releases BCQG from any and all liability. BCQG will take reasonable care to protect all entries but is not responsible for entries. ALL UNSIGNED FORMS WILL BE RETURNED.

5. Entries will be accepted in the order they are received as space permits. Each quilter is limited to seven entries.

6. Entry forms must indicate category. However, the quilt show committee reserves the right to make the final decision regarding the category.

7. Entries must be clean and in good condition. Double knit cloth and "cheater cloth" are not permitted.

8. Each quilt must have a 4" double casing/sleeve stitched to the reverse side. If the item exceeds 90" in length, please drop the sleeve down from the top.

9. Each entry must have a 4" X 4" cloth label sewn to the lower right back of quilt, the inside of clothing and on the underside of small items. Label must indicate name, address and telephone number. No pins please.

10. Each item, including wearables, must be enclosed in a separate fabric bag with your name written on the bag. Your registration form with the claim check must be attached to the outside of the bag.

11. All entries must be delivered to the Grapevine Convention Center on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004 between 5:00 and 6:30 p.m. If you are unable to deliver at that time, you may have a friend deliver them or contact JoAnne Sheppard at (817)431-9505 to arrange a prior drop-off at her home.

12. All entries must be picked up Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004 immediately after the quilt show has been taken down and clean up is over. No item will be released without a claim check.

13. Once a quilt has been displayed in a BCQG show, it may not be entered in a subsequent show.
