Fabric 1 (background)
Cut 2 squares 4 1/2 x 4 1/2
Cut 1 square 4 7/8 X 4 7/8
Cut 1 rectangle 2 1/2 X 4 l/2
Cut l square 2 1/2 X 2 1/2
Cut 2 rectangles 4 1/2 x 8 1/2
Fabric 2 (leaves)
Cut 2 squares 4 1/2 x 4 1/2
Fabric 3
Cut l square 4 7/8 x 4 7/8
Fabric 4
Cut l square 2 1/2 x 2 1/2
Fabric 5
Cut l rectangle 4 1/2 x 8 1/2
For the half square triangle place the 4 7/8 square fabrics right sides
together. Draw a line corner to corner, sew 1/4 inch on each side of the
drawn line. Cut along the drawn line. You will have an extra half square
triangle.
For the pieced rectangles, draw a line corner to corner on the square
piece of fabric. Set the square right sides together in the correct end
of the rectangle and sew along the drawn line. Trim excess fabric, flip
and press.
